The 2008 Infohrm Workforce Planning Summit

Over the past 30 years, Infohrm has been at the leading edge of workforce planning and has developed a highly successful four-step workforce planning methodology utilized by hundreds of organizations world-wide.

Infohrm's 2nd Annual Workforce Planning Summit enables the HR community to hear, first hand, the learnings of innovative business executives, from both the public and private sectors, who have designed and developed effective workforce planning initatives.

Building on the success of last year's Summit, Infohrm has expanded its thought leadership agenda to cover two full days of leading-edge keynote speeches, case study presentations, panel discussions, and in-depth breakout sessions. The event will demonstrate proven methods of workforce planning and highlight how workforce planning should integrate with financial and strategic planning processes.

The 2008 Summit covers many of the themes heard in our recent Global Workforce Planning survey of over 200 organizations:

  • Only 14% of organizations are prepared for the potential loss of skills, corporate knowledge and leadership that will occur within the next five years.
  • Many organizations struggle to secure management commitment for critical workforce planning processes.
  • Prepared firms are much more likely (42% as compared to just 8% of under-prepared firms) to conduct formal workforce planning processes integrated with strategic business planning.

To address these issues and offer solutions to common workforce planning challenges, the Summit features speakers from:

  • Microsoft — Rupert Bader, Director of Workforce Planning
  • Google — Prasad Setty, Director of People Analytics
  • Ameriprise Financial — Nick Nyhus, Vice President of Workforce Planning
  • Freddie Mac — Andy Suh, Director of Operations Strategy
  • Safeco Insurance — Jared Flynn, Manager of Workforce Planning
  • The Williams Companies - Laura Hunter, Manager of Reporting & Analytics
  • Greater Baltimore Medical Center — Mark Thomas, Vice President of Human Resources

Attendees will hear the experiences of business leaders within an engaged and active community of Summit delegates. Using case study examples, our expert presenters will share their experiences through two days of thought leadership. Additionally, attendees will have multiple opportunities to network with:

  • Workforce planning peers at similar organizations
  • Academic and consulting thought leaders
  • Infohrm workforce planning experts

In addition, we offer further professional development opportunities through the post-Summit workshops on May 21 & 22, offering "how-to" training on Workforce Planning and Workforce Analytics. New to the program this year are industry focus working sessions in Healthcare, Financial Services, and Retail, to focus on segment-specific advancements and issues in workforce planning and their impact.

Combined, our 2008 Workforce Planning Summit agenda promises to help you:

  • Build stronger business cases for investments in workforce planning initiatives
  • Establish workforce planning implementation processes and organizational structures
  • Create future workforce scenarios
  • Calculate workforce supply and demand levels across key segments
  • Assess the business impact of labor shortages
  • Translate workforce data into financial measures
  • Communicate data-driven concepts to senior audiences
  • Shape the future of your organization
