Workshop Dates:
Washington, D.C.: Oct 14- 15

ADVANCED WORKFORCE ANALYTICS

Workshop participants learn different analysis techniques to break down large, complex data sets to identify the stories and insights locked within the data. At the end of this workshop, participants are able to perform calculations relating to Span of Control, selection of predictors/variables, regression, multiple regression, multivariate correlation, probabilities to predict absence. Participants are also briefly introduced to structural equation modelling.

This class enables professionals with a quantitative background to apply these skills to HR, workforce, and business data and processes with hands on learning. To conduct actual analytical investigations of workforce data, participants are expected to bring their own laptops to the workshop.

Delegates will be able to:

  • Apply statistical modelling to HR and workforce analytics
  • Unlock insights in workforce data
  • Practice analysis using statistical software
  • Disseminate large data sets into necessary and relevant information

So what is in the program?

Overview

  • Enhance strategic decision-making within HR
  • Improve credibility of HR analysis
  • Build compelling business cases
  • Demonstrate the value of HR
  • Enrich the quality of HR analysis

Each section of the workshop will walk through the mathematical concept, apply it to HR analysis, demonstrate the technique using statistical software, then practice with a case study example:

  • Span of Control
  • Selection of predictors/variables
  • Regression
  • Multiple regression
  • Multivariate correlation
  • Calculate probabilities to predict absence
  • Introduction to structural equation modelling

Participants will be expected to bring laptops to this session as the group will use Infohrm data sets to practice key concepts.

Benefits

  • Enhance strategic decision-making with HR
  • Improve credibility of HR analyses
  • Build compelling business cases
  • Demonstrate the value of HR
  • Enrich the quality of HR analyses

Workshop participants will learn different analysis techniques to break down large, complex data sets to identify the stories and insights locked within the data. At the end of the workshop, participants will have calculated a linear regression, performed a multivariate correlation analysis, conducted basic statistical validity testing, calculated simple probabilities for organization mobility, and created a complex cost of turnover (COT) model for a specific subset of the workforce.

This class enables professionals with a quantitative background to apply those skills to HR, workforce, and business data and processes with hands-on learning.

Features

Program Outline

Each section of the workshop will walk through the mathematical concept, apply it to HR analysis, demonstrate the technique using statistical software, then practice with a case study example:

  • Regression analysis
  • Multivariate correlation
  • Statistical validity testing
  • Simple probabilities
  • Cost of turnover
  • Do you maximize the use of quantitative and qualitative workforce data?
  • Are you able to build strong business cases for HR interventions?
  • Should you elevate your diagnosis capabilities of human capital issues?

Building on the Workforce Analytics workshop, this advanced program provides tools and techniques for HR practitioners experienced in using workforce data for decision-making. This workshop goes beyond the basics, taking participants through advanced techniques in data correlation, the use of quantitative and qualitative data, trend analysis and the exploration of human capital issues through analysis of multiple data sources.

This workshop is aimed at those with some experience in interpreting workforce data, and will skill delegates in better diagnosis of human capital issues and in the building of a strong business case for HR interventions.

All public workshops are also available in-house and can be tailored to include current information from your organization.

As part of our professional commitment to quality we offer a satisfaction guarantee. If, at the end of the first day, you feel the workshop is not adding value for your organization, simply let us know and we will credit your registration fee to any other program or service offered by Infohrm.
