This conference stream will take a forensic view of understanding, creating and using analytics to improve business outcomes. It will feature case studies and insights on the range of analytic applications and techniques available and provide opportunity to discuss and learn more about the applicability of these to your organization. While the focus will be on demonstrating the link between HR and business performance, the stream will also cover approaches to using scorecards, Markov analysis, linkage research, applied statistics and developing compelling stories.
Stream 2 - Building a Capability for Human Capital Measurement
Having good data is necessary, but not sufficient for success. Build the foundations needed for data driven decision making through changes in people, process and systems leveraging metrics, analytics and reporting. Read more ![]()
Infohrm has researched and grappled with the Human Capital Metrics (HCM) utilization challenge – if we build it will they come? We firmly believe that while access to good data is an essential building block for creating a human capital metrics capability, it will not guarantee success on its own. Without sound analysis, insight into business impact and compelling communications, enterprises can undervalue the real impact of human capital on the organization and its bottom line.
This stream will build on the information foundation and focus on the people, processes and platforms that enable and drive sound strategy development and decision making. Participants in this stream will hear from presenters who are actively addressing the HCM utilization challenge and we will share in some of their hard lessons and valuable experiences.
Additional Workshops
The Conference will be combined with your choice of two optional workshops:
Introduction to Workforce Metrics and Analytics ![]()
17 November 2008
Facilitator: Laura Jurzcak, Infohrm.
Unlike financial data, workforce data often comes in many forms and has a less well defined standard of definitions and metrics. This workshop helps HR professionals navigate the nuances of workforce data by clarifying the various formats of the data and knowing which measures can best be used to understand workforce performance. Participants will practice breaking down a complex issue into its components through root-cause analysis, learn how to select and interpret workforce measures, and finally how to display workforce data and measures in the clearest format. We recommend that those new to the area of workforce measurement and analysis begin with this workshop which introduces fundamental knowledge of metrics definitions to transform workforce data into information.
Using Workforce Data to Build the HR Business Case (Master Class) ![]()
20 November 2008
Facilitator: Anastasia Ellerby and Sam Hill, Infohrm.
It is crucial for HR to speak the language of the business in order to demonstrate the value it can add. Data can play a pivotal role in this communication process. This workshop is recommended for senior HR managers/generalists looking to learn how to use data to support business cases for HR initiatives and communicate workforce issues effectively. The workshop offers one day intensive coverage of the use of workforce data in people management strategies and prioritisation. It also provides case study application to utilise workforce analysis in preparing executive reporting and key messages.
Join some of the world’s leading organisations at the most exciting European workforce analytics event of the year.
